John Dyben, DHSc, LMFT, MCAP, is Chief Clinical Officer at Hanley Center and Headwaters and is an experienced behavioral healthcare professional specializing in addiction, mental health, family systems, and recovery. With more than 20 years of leadership in the behavioral health field, Dr. Dyben brings extensive clinical and academic experience to the treatment of substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health concerns.

In his leadership role at Hanley Center, Dr. Dyben oversees clinical programming and supports research and treatment initiatives designed to strengthen the quality of patient care. His professional background encompasses substance use disorder treatment, individual and family therapy, crisis intervention, trauma-informed care, older adult behavioral health, and co-occurring disorders.

A significant focus of Dr. Dyben’s career has been connecting behavioral health research with practical, compassionate clinical care.
